Wendy again - Yarrow

I have some Yarrow in sunny spots, but it is not doing well. Perhaps it is too damp in those beds. I am thinking of moving it to beds that get morning sun only, but are dry. What do you think?

You're right, Yarrow [Achillea] likes it drier than wetter. As long as it gets 5 or more hours of sun a day it should do fine. Move it ASAP. If your "dry" bed needs a little help in the moisure retention department, dig some bark mulch INTO the soil. In some instances, doing this will reduce the need for supplemental watering all together. A 2 - 3 inch mulch of compost will be beneficial as well.
By next season, you might be able to divide your achillea and spread it around. Try collecting seed, too. They're always good growers as long as the conditions are drier. Good luck!
