Why Renting is STILL Better Than Owning a Home

wilsongalye's picture

The ability to own a home is as hard as it has ever been. In the last few years most of them selected a renting home than owing a home. But what’s your choice? Is it depends upon the financial situation? Advantages of renting Usually when you price out the cost difference, renting is really affordable. You don't have to pay property taxes as a renter and just buying a house costs money like closing costs, insurances, etc. Here's one thing to keep in mind that I think about. If you rent, you have the luxury of picking up and moving.

Renting while you are still young and single..yes,but not wise especially after you are married. The reality of today young graduates, working people to own a house/ property is that it has become almost unaffordable to many. The reality is that so many people are still renting houses especially the middle income and low income group, some past their 30's and even 40's and 50's.It is not easy to get bank loan to purchase a house if you don't have good salary, nice bank account, big purchase deposit or anything to submit as collateral  to support your application for the loan.Hopefully the government will seriously look into this crazy rise in prices of houses each year and it has never slowed down. Houses that once was bought at 300K few years ago has appreciated to 600K for resale, eventhough the condition of the house has depreciated!  Reason given by those in the related property industry is that house is on  prime land. The land has become primed. Even houses on non prime land has become expensive.Let's seriously make it more affordable for every young and old working adults, especially from the mid and low income group, those with growing families to own their first home instead of making life miserable and frustrating since renting even flats are not cheap either anymore.

I would agree but if your a familyman. Renting would not be the priority but providing a home. But we all have different thoughts about it.
