Although it is very difficult to pick just one thing, for me it is Braden's room on page 124. I love what Erin and Stacy have done! The new furniture additions are brilliant, and the idea to add height to the dresser as shown really makes a difference.
Am I the only one to notice a newer look to the Ask A Designer page? Lots of pictures...I love it!

My DD is quite a climber, so I'm sure she'll think the same!
I had used the same bed in my DD's room and love it (except that she thinks it makes good monkey bars.
I remember being asked to chose my own wallpaper when I was 10 or so. I narrowed it down to two. One was an allover blue-on-white design that looked vaguely like shell and fleur-de-lis shapes. The other was gigantic purple flowers on a white background. I was talked out of the purple one, naturally!
the only thing I worry about with footboards with boys is that when they grow, sometimes that results in a new bed being needed. My 3 brothers are all 6 feet plus, so it is something that springs to mind. Though the art deco style sounds intriguing! We had horrid wallpaper mess here and in our old house. I promised DH we will never use it! LOL It is so much fun giving kids the rooms you only wished you had as a kid - not that I was terribly deprived, but I want it all to be special!
I'm glad you have that great bed ordered. You must be so excited!
I have an empty room to work with, as my son is in a wee toddler bed in my room. His room has wallpaper that has been a nightmare to remove, and there's just a wee bit to go. I know that sounds lazy on my part, but I've done many shifts in there, spending hours on it as there are 2 layers all sandwiched with paint. Good thing he's in no hurry to be independant! I think I'll muster up the courage to finally finish the job in summer.
I am suffering from huge indecision about the bed. I am torn between two: a spindle-style headboard only but like the one in the boy's room, which was mine when I was 10, and a thrift store find that I think is a bit art deco in style, headboard and footboard. It's a full size that would have to be cut down, and it looks like a sleigh bed without the curves-if that makes sense. I'd always planned to paint it black if I use it, but with so many fabulous things shown here by other members I think I'd have to try the famous Turret Stair!
The little girl's room - it even has the bed I have finally convinced DH to order for my DD! Plus, I was really happy to see children's rooms in general - and on a reasonable budget.
