2013 Trend: Geometry

Cool shapes offer an intriguing lesson.

The runways were awash with geometric patterns at Marc Jacobs, Prada and Giambattista Valli, but the trend owes more to artisans than ateliers. Angular patterns with domestic roots also lent smart, sharp and intriguing form to living rooms. To wit: a geo-print sofa and Glas Italia's tricoloured coffee table would elegantly dress a big-city loft.
