Bold Burgundy

Layer textures in rich reds.

Oscar de la Renta's pre-fall 2011 show had some gorgeous ribbon and tweed knits. This Scarlet Multi-Colour Textured Ribbon Tweed Scoopneck Sleeveless Dropwaist Dress reminds us of the upholstery fabric he designed for Lee Jofa (bottom left). Likewise, in her bedroom, designer Karen Cole layered a deep red Madeline Weinrib rug with a kilim-upholstered ottoman to great effect. The burgundy hues and knitted textures tie them together.
