In fashion designer Lyn Devon's fall 2011 line, elegant Oriental prints and sheer stripes mixed to elevate her loungewear. The entryway of Toronto decorator Holly Dyment also plays with pattern, combining a bold striped wallpaper hung horizontally — one of Holly's favourite tricks — with graphic black and white marble flooring and a punchy green Designers Guild fabric on the bench. She may break conventional rules of colour and pattern, but the result is bright, cheerful and welcoming.
