Rather than have separate areas for homework, home office and storage, these homeowners built a smart, all-in-one work space against an empty wall between the kitchen and living room. The desk area was designed around a detailed list of their needs, considering everything from the filing drawers required to the number of coats the homeowners wanted to store in the full-height cupboards. Adjustable shelves create flexibility and help store everything from art supplies to books in an organized fashion.
