"When people come here for the first time, you can't drag them away from the windows," says homeowner Ellen Spengler. Using streamlined shapes with simplified traditional details, architect Thomas Moore designed a P.E.I. cottage comprised of a big and little house linked by a breezeway. Deliberately exaggerated column trim emphasizes sun and shadows on the building's corners.
