A custom eating area makes the most of minimal square footage.
The owner turned an open space adjacent to the kitchen into a streamlined dining area by incorporating a chunky white lacquer and stainless steel table and a built-in banquette. Flip-up cabinets above store small kitchen appliances; bookcases display design magazines, books and favourite bottles of wine; and the banquette's seat stores seasonal items like Christmas decorations. Eames chairs add an organic note to the space.
