Turn a neutral hallway into a stunning space.
New York-based interior designer Steven Gambrel added architectural dimension to this home's entryway with a historically-inspired, rusticated wall treatment that creates an 'ice-block' effect. The classic black and white colour combo with the painted treads and railing keep the staircase from looking fussy and balances the dark stone floor tiles. True to Gambrel's form, the graphic effect is dramatic but actually quite practical.
