Country Home Entryways

Keep oft-used items exposed but organized.

Emma Reddington of Toronto design blog The Marion House Book believes in keeping coats, boots and umbrellas on-hand in mudrooms and foyers. "I'm drawn to spaces that are well lived in and functional — as well as beautiful," she explains. "There is no room more hardworking than an entryway, and I think French and English country homes with Wellington boots lined up, well-worn rugs on the floor and umbrellas at hand are a great example of how a home can be stylish and still practical."
