Guest House Mezzanine

Two small trees potted in metal maple syrup canisters offer country-style cheer.

Originally, this guest house's upper level was dark and cramped. The homeowners chose to create a loft-like space for the bedroom by removing half of the second floor. They recovered the walls with the barn wood they salvaged from the renovations for a textured, outdoorsy look.
