Classic menswear fabrics inform this traditional space.
Inspired by the grey-flannels-and-blazer style of fashion icon Bill Blass, Tommy Smythe — associate designer with Sarah Richardson Design and co-star of HGTV's Sarah's Cottage and Sarah's House — painted his former master bedroom's walls dark grey. The tailored headboard and bench (upholstered in suiting fabric) and massive old mirrored armoire give the room a stately air.
