Office With Chevron Drapes

Easily update a room with trendy drapery.

This spacious office in an old Victorian home was in desperate need of an update. HGTV star and Toronto designer Tommy Smythe added a hit of chevron — an on-trend pattern for 2012. He incorporated zigzag prints on walls and furniture in other rooms, too. Here the drapes pop against neutral grasscloth wallpaper. The office has two desks, one of which is paired with a stately chair in cognac leather.

See Tommy Smythe's Victorian Makeover photo gallery for more photos of this home, plus watch Suzanne Dimma tour through the kitchen.
