Paint expert Annie Sloan opened her Oxford, England shop to feed her love of decorative painting, retailing her own range of paint along with French fabrics and vintage furniture. Later she started how-to workshops out of her shop, and expanded her line of paints across the U.K. to various other stockists. Now, with more than 10 books like Quick and Easy Paint Transformations (2010 Cico Books) and Creating the French Look (2011 Cico Books), she's sharing her knowledge. In this gallery, learn how to create different DIY finishes and effects with paint to change everyday dressers into something special, all for the price of a pot of paint. Plus, get tips on bringing enviable French style into any space.
