New Victorian
Tommy Smythe, an HGTV star and Toronto designer, revived a historic Toronto home with what he calls the "new Victorian" look.
To acheive this style, he used classic panelled cabinets, crown moulding and tufted furniture gussied up with red accents, Deco lighting and zigzag patterns. The result is a fun family home with timeless finishes and long-lasting style. In the kitchen sitting room, full-height subway tile, patterns, a red tufted sofa and mixed metals work perfectly together.
