Stunning All-White Living Room
Designer Sophie Burke worked with her parents to build a home from scratch that had a lived-in character inspired by stately old homes and England's rambling gardens.
Using antiques and vintage hardware, white linen and contemporary fabrics, Burke masterfully contrasts the new with the old. Doors, cupboards and trim found at European markets, village shops and architectural salvage yards were also fit into the new-build. Coffered ceilings provide architectural interest and a banded sisal rug anchors the seating area in the spacious all-white living room. Burke chose whitewashed oak floors for an airy look.
