Trend: Smoky Accessories
Is smoke grey the new beige?
This new neutral is far from boring. Designers have figured out that the smouldering tint brings edgy sophistication to fashion-forward interiors, and top editors and stylists admire its moody air. The dusky shade ranges from the softest whisper of grey to dark, dramatic charcoal. Go modern and you'll find a hit in the new tapered and transparent Vanity chair by Magis, or take it traditional with Ikea's romantic Edland bedroom furniture. Pry open a gallon of Benjamin Moore's Smoke Gray (2120-40) to transform a room (we dare you to do the ceiling, too!). Add a smudge to your space with a vintage vase or something current from the creative crew at Esque Studio, a wind-powered glassworks. Use it wherever you're feeling grey and your space is certain to be, well, smoking hot.
