Showhome Kitchen 2008
A counter-height table provides extra prep space.
Lynda Reeves has been on the table-as-island trend longer than most. The kitchen in the 2008 Princess Margaret Hospital Showhome, for instance, has a large, custom dining/work island that's both practical and inviting. The height of the island makes it ideal for extra counter space, while the openness underneath accommodates high dining chairs, making it the perfect spot for guests to perch while dinner is being prepared, or a casual hub for family dinners. The rustic bleached oak chandelier adds to the casual, country feel of the kitchen.
