An old fireplace gets a clean-lined facelift for a comtemporary upgrade.
In the home's living room, Peter gave the fireplace a bright, new look by covering the previously brown brick-clad front with wood trim and creamy white paint. Built-in shelving provides storage and display surfaces while adding architectural interest. Light, leggy furniture keeps the room open and airy.
