"The use of black and white is a sure winner for creating a dramatic and stylish statement in any room," explains Pia. "The image on the left is from my Paris apartment — I used a bold patterned fabric and soft, sumptuous bed linens. Some sparkling fairy lights in the shape of a heart adds the 'simple-sophisticated' touch. The image on the right comes from designers Mark and Sally Bailey's latest book called Simple Home. I love the use of black and white in this room, combined with natural textures."
