"I often take inspiration from 'the olden days' — I love watching films set in the 19th or early 20th century, and I love to visit old house museums like this one, called Vaucluse House, located in Sydney, Australia," says Pia. "The use of elaborate patterns and natural textures is what I am most drawn to in these spaces. They have an air of sophistication, yet the materials used are often quite simple and made by hand."
