Add whimsy with polka dots.
For a bit of pattern without dramatic stripes or plaid, consider dots for a lighter, more playful look. Marc Jacobs' fall/winter 2011/2012 show was dotted with spots in a variety of colours and combinations. To bring it home, consider a simple dot wallpaper or shower curtain.
