Opt for abstract florals over painterly prints.
Another designer to bridge the gap between interiors and fashion is London-based Allegra Hicks. First established as a textile designer, Allegra branched out to fashion back in 1998. She now designs three ready-to-wear collections per year. The pattern on this Genevieve All In One 100% silk jersey suit seems to have inspired her Flower Pillow Covers, part of her interiors collection for West Elm launched this summer. Tone-on-tone florals are more contemporary and less busy than multicoloured florals, adding just the right amount of pattern to sofa or bed.
