"Nicki Clendening and Callie Jenschke of Manhattan-based Scout Designs used vintage Neoclassical-style chairs upholstered in vibrant green leather to add punch to a predominantly neutral office," Barnes says. "In my mind, the approach is similar to when a woman adds a bold jeweled cuff to a classic black turtleneck. The chairs were found in Charleston, South Carolina and they became a huge hit in the blogosphere during summer 2009, as did the office, which belongs to wedding designer Tara Guérard."
