Washington, D.C.-based designer Thomas Pheasant teamed up once again with high-end furniture manufacturer Baker to collaborate on a line of new furniture, lighting, upholstery and tabletop pieces. The direction and focus of the designs showcase Pheasant's personal and professional evolution. Pheasant is known for both understatement and unexpected details, and often blurs the lines between classic form and modern restraint. "My approach to design has always been to strip away unnecessary decoration," says Pheasant. "To me there is great beauty in refined simplicity – to design objects that are elegant, maintain value, are stimulating to the senses, and visually beautiful." Here, see a sample of his new collection, from a geometric drink table to a cosy lounge chair.
