Tommy Smythe's Eclectic Living Room
Use white to keep diverse styles cohesive.
After moving three times in as many years, Tommy's latest home is a 700-square-foot, one bedroom rental apartment. In this space, white walls are a crisp foil to aged antiques and darker finishes. "This is the first really white living room I've ever done," he admits. "The windows are this home's best feature; white shows off the light and makes the room feel big. It's also the perfect backdrop for layering in strong colours, which I chose to give the room a youthful, happy feel."
