Create a canopy look with this DIY design idea.
A simple upholstered headboard with nailhead trim achieves big impact with a ceiling-mounted fabric panel. Double-sided fabric has looped pockets sewn to slide through three separate pieces of dowel, two of which are mounted to the wall and ceiling to create a draping canopy effect. Paisley patterned bedding, grasscloth wallpaper and a sisal rug complete the Plantation atmosphere. Update a chandelier from The Home Depot by removing some of the crystals and adding simple shades instead.
