Rustic Wood Kitchen

Raw and honed details create a beautiful contrast of textures and styles.

Hosting large gatherings is a ritual for the owners of this waterfront property in Hudson, Quebec. Their renovation retained the kitchen's historic architecture while updating it with cutting-edge appliances. A thick slab of granite on the island was chosen for a fresh, modern look; it echoes the beautiful raw stone walls found on the room's perimeter. Lab-style iron stools on the wide-plank pine floors tie the industrial country look together.
