L.A. design and lifestyle phenoms Eliot and Alexandra Angle were awestruck by the spectacular scenery. "We were captivated by the view. We had an immediate emotional reaction to the place." The simple 2,100-square-foot saltbox they designed takes its cue from traditional maritime architecture. It's built to withstand repeated lashings by salty gales and also proved to be much easier to source and produce locally than the modern glass house they originally intended to build.
