A refined desk and Chinoiserie-style screen create a Hollywood Regency effect in this home office space.
"Nicki Clendening and Callie Jenschke of Manhattan-based Scout Designs used vintage Neoclassical-style chairs upholstered in vibrant green leather to add punch to a predominantly neutral office," says Courtney Barnes, designer and author of the popular Style Court blog. "In my mind, the approach is similar to when a woman adds a bold jeweled cuff to a classic black turtleneck. The chairs were found in Charleston, South Carolina and they became a huge hit in the blogosphere during summer 2009, as did the office, which belongs to wedding designer Tara Guérard."
