Additional seating can be added to this living area by moving the occasional chairs in from the hall.
Instead of a basic console, designer Brad Ford fit a walnut table in the wide hallway, which he uses as his office; a standard black filing cabinet is tucked under it, creating an affordable customized desk. Above is his sculptural collection of vintage splints.
