Four delish dishes cooked over a campfire!
Tired of burnt marshmallows? You're in luck. Sarah Huck and Jaimee Young have released a cookbook full of recipes prepared over a campfire, called Campfire Cookery (2011 Stewart, Tabori & Chang). Whether you're heading to the cottage for the long weekend, hanging out in your backyard, or camping in the bush, these dishes will add a gourmet element to fireside gatherings. They're not simple enough for camping fare, but ingredients and serveware can be modified for a summer camping trip. Try a grilled radicchio salad, stone-seared hens, or a sweet blueberry pudding.
