Use them up while they're in season!
Fresh summer cherries are only in season for June and July, so make the most of them. Use fresh Niagara cherries in Anne Yarymowich's cherry tarts, a frozen cherry mousse (pictured above) or even black cherries in a refreshing iced tea. Or buy them dried for cookies and cornbread. Cherry glazes are often paired with duck, but try adding a zing to other barbecued meats, too.
