When illustrator, photographer and stylist Erin Gleeson's husband got a new job in San Francisco, the two relocated from Brooklyn to a cabin in the woods near the Northern Californian city. With towering red woods and a life-long love for entertaining, Erin began to blog her mostly vegetarian recipes, painting and taking beautiful photos of the meals to go along side. Her first cookbook, The Forest Feast, brings simple yet innovative recipes that are seasonal, colourful and look gorgeous on a plate. Most of the recipes have few steps and ingredients; perfect for new cooks who love to host a crowd. For a sweet, rustic dessert, try Erin's Apple and Honey Galette recipe.
