Nathan Williams, editor of Kinfolk Magazine, shares uncomplicated recipes for entertaining.
In our December 2013 issue, we highlighted The Kinfolk Table (2013 Artisan Books) in our food pages for its unfussy entertaining style that emphasizes shared experiences. Nathan Williams, the editor of the quarterly journal, Kinfolk, takes a collaborative approach in this new cookbook, illustrated by beautiful, spare photography typically associated with Kinfolk. Williams profiles 45 tastemakers — all homecooks — who have each shared one to three recipes they most love to make for others.
Try the Citrus Lentil Salad from The Kinfolk Table, or Ciabbottola, a rustic Italian dish served for brunch or lunch (pictured above). For dessert, top things off with Williams' recipe for Spiced Raw Chocolate Mousse.
