Brie & Watercress Sandwich Recipe

Recipe:

Step 1: Smear the bread slices on one side with melted butter.

Step 2: Layer the cheese on one of the unbuttered sides. We love the combination of Brie and cheddar. You can also use Jack, Swiss or another of your favourites.

Step 3: Sprinkle the watercress leaves on top of the cheese and cover with the other slice of bread, unbuttered side down.

Step 4: Melt the remaining butter in a skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich, turning once when the top is nicely browned. Cook on the second side until the cheese begins to ooze out. Remove from the pan, cut in half diagonally, and serve hot with a glass of milk or a beer.

Ingredients

Two 1/2″ thick slices of crusty white bread
