Grilled Pound Cake Recipe


A simple dessert you make on the grill.


1 loaf frozen pound cake, thawed
1 pint strawberries, washed and hulled
2 cups blueberries, washed
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup whipping cream
3 tbsp confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pint vanilla ice cream


Step 1: Preheat grill to medium-high.

Step 2: Slice pound cake into 1"-thick slices.

Step 3: In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream until soft peaks form. Add the confectioners' sugar and vanilla and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate.

Step 4: In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, blueberries and sugar; toss gently and set aside.

Step 5: Brush each slice of pound cake with melted butter on both sides; grill for 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly toasted.

Step 6: To assemble, place pound cake on a plate, top with ice cream and berries. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
