Making your own ketchup is as easy as adding a few pantry staples and spices to a pot to simmer. It's fresh and seasoned to your taste.
One 14 oz. can plain tomato sauce
1/4 cup molasses
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 tsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1: Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium heat, bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer and continue cooking, stirring every so often, until it looks and smells like ketchup, about 1 hour.
