
A sweet summer treat.
Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie
1 prepared 11" graham pie crust
1 tub (2 L) vanilla ice cream
500 mL peanut butter sauce (see recipe below)
Chopped peanuts (optional)
Peanut Butter Sauce
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 tbsp butter or margarine
3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup milk or light cream
Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie
Step 1: With small ice cream scoop, completely cover the bottom of pie crust with ice cream.
Step 2: Drizzle peanut butter sauce over ice cream. Place in freezer for about 15 minutes to harden.
Step 3: Alternately cover first layer with scoops of ice cream and peanut sauce. Garnish with chopped peanuts if desired.
Step 4: Freeze until ready to serve.
Peanut Butter Sauce
Step 1: Combine sugar, honey and butter in a 4 cup microwaveable bowl. Cook at medium-low for 4 minutes, until sugar is dissolved, stirring once.
Step 2: Add peanut butter and whisk until smooth. Stir in milk or cream.
Step 3: Refrigerate until cool.
