OK I need a break!! My hand is cramping and I am starting to get blisters on my fingers!!
I have started stripping the fabric off my club chairs. They were built in the 50's or 60's. The craftmanship is awesome but man, the number of staples. I only have 2/3 of the the bottom edge pulled off and I have pryed about 300 staple so far. The frame is hardwood - looks like maple. I bought a really nice cream fabric with a light texture to reupholster it with. The exposed wood strip around the arms will either get a dark walnut stain or an espresso paint coat on it.
As for my divider delima to hide my elliptical, I decided to go with sheer patterned curtain panels hung on the metal rings and clip on a wood dowel mounted on the ceiling. I bought an awesome patterned voile that is wine, orange and yellow. It has subtle stripes of each colour and has a paisley like design. It looks ethnic but not over the top. It looks HAPPY!! I love it. And I got fabric in those colours to sew pillows. I got all this fabric for ... $115 at Fabricland!!!!
OK, break is over so I have to get back to work.........
Hope everyone is having fun and lots of success with their decorating projects this weekend.
Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions in my previous posts.
