$225000+ Toy Boxes. This is a fast selling real estate item in recreation country in BC. They are strata subdivisions with a huge garage and a very small one bedroom apartment on the upper level. They're designed to hold your toys - boat, RV, skidoos, ATV's, etc, or your extra cottage guests. They're being bought up by the people from Vancouver and Calgary who don't want to tow their toys home at the end of the summer.

Oh I know about the jet pack left blower... MY neighbours have one, and their driveway is out side my bedroom window. They seem to have a need to use it EVERYDAY at about 7:45 in the morning to clean their whole drive way... ITS SO LOUD..... I dont understand why they have to blow the drive way everyday.. its not like its the fall... I have even seen them out there in the rain using it....ok well not them their gardner.... I think they maybe a tad bit anal.....

 You don't rent a plain old local storage space when you can park everything on your lot (in Calgary you can fill the back yard with trailers as long as they aren't commercial). Besides how do you show all your buddies all your cool toys if they are in a plain old storage area? Now having a place in the interior would be suitable as image is everything with these folks.

Really, I never saw anyone like that neighbour and his love of toys. He had everything ever made and it had to be the biggest, longest, newest, gas guzzlingest stuff. I know cuz I got to look at it 24/7. Sheesh his leaf blower looked like a jet pack complete with special jacket and ear muffler things and he only had one tree. I was so happy when they moved and boy did I have my eye open for toys in neighbours yards when I was buying this time.

DBD...that just gave me the biggest chuckle...thank you i needed that..... :biglol:

Dawn at least your DH takes his out of the car, I cant get my bf to, they are always in the trunk and they take up most of it, so when we go shopping there is never any room for anything... HE says there might be a golf emergency.... :biglol:

Wow. That's a lot of money for a nice garage! I suppose there would be a market for them though. I can only wonder how insuring such a place would be: maybe reasonable at first, then it may skyrocket when thieves discover these subdivisions as shopping malls for stuff they need.

I should appreciate my husband more. The only toys he needs are to do with his computer and golf! And to think just last week I suggested he move the clubs to the shed so they wouldn't be in my way. (didn't work-it's a spider thing)

I'm glad they're leaving these big toys in storage. These guys tend to haul them pretty fast and the #1 is narrow at the best of times. Now we can just watch them speed to get to and fro.

Your jerky neighbour could have rented a storage space at one of the local extra storage spaces. These are popping up everywhere. We've used these 3 times in the past two years. The prices are very reasonable.

Oh it would have been nice if something like that had been available when I had the neighbours with toys. I think both of us would have appreciated it. They could have saved themselves some trouble and I wouldn't have had to see their toys taking up their entire lot (and blocking my light). They didn't leave their stuff anywhere for the summer, it was all in their yard except the two or three weekends they actually used them (can you tell I hated those things?).

I would imagine there are quite a few people who would think this is a good deal given the prices they are willing to pay for their 5th wheels, trailers to haul the ski doos and ATV's, and boats (which have to be at least 20' to be cool it seems).
