Maybe now people will think more what Christmas really means..........!
We are cutting back! While I stated that, we gave our son for Christmas two new windows for our Grandaughter's room (installation included). That is for both of them as well as birthday. Next year two sweaters. Daughter joins us for Christmas from Calgary and we usually give her US $ for shopping. That could definately change this year re exchange. Next year sweater for her and matching outfits for her cats. LOL
Sometimes, I wonder, if you look at the system every year just before the snowbirds go south, the dollar drops and comes back after everyone is settled in. Hmmm.............................................. Always purchase the dollar in the new year or spring and summer????????????? I need a financial advisor.
That's what the mailman delivered, lol! From ToysRus, it is on sale this week.
Well I am cutting back even more this yr again.
I already have most of teachers etc gifts. I am going to purchase Wii for my boys in the next few weeks so I have it. I am sending my DB money to go in on gift for my parents. I do not buy for my sisters and brothers and their kids anymore. I use to buy for all nieces and nephews until they finished school. DH and I sometimes do not buy for each other..last minute thing there.
I did the Halloween thing as we had a party but I love the Christmas decorations more!!
I've actually already begun shopping as well!!! Now...this is like a small miracle for me...as i am one of those "frantically racing around the malls on Xmas eve" kinda women. It comes from growing up in a very low income family...my mom wouldn't know how much she could afford to spend on us till the very last minute. Anyway....it definitely rubbed off on me!
I'm ready for it! I am skipping the halloween decorations this year, and looking forward to the xmas stuff. Yesterday the mailman delivered the first big present 'from santa' for the kids...ssshhhhh. I saw some boots I would love, hope my dh got the hint!
