We urge everyone to go over the Guidelines & Etiquette of our Forums if you have not done so already. If you've already read them maybe you'd consider going over them again. These guidelines are aimed at fostering a welcoming environment (for people of all ages).

The first guideline is clearly directed at aggressive behaviour, which will not be tolerated. We have decided to go to a "3 Strikes" system, which will lead to the blocking of a user on the third strike.
Maliciousness and offensive posts will not be taken lightly, but in the end, it is up to us to determine what constitutes as a strike.

Thanks.

that babysitting a decorating and design forum would be such serious business? Thanks for keeping us "posted" - ha, I kill me!
It will be attributed to an individual as can be best determined by alias and IP address.
Jody, will the "strikes" be counted and attributed based upon the user's IP address or the alias used for the inappropriate post?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that we will send out a warning email that lets you know why your post has been edited or deleted.
....if one of your posts gets deleted is that a strike against you then?
Thanks
for the quick response - just wanted it to be clear!
In terms of strikes, we will not add them retroactively, which is an impossible task, however, any previous discussions and reprimands are still considered valid.
Jody, to be clear, is the "three strike" program starting now, giving those who have been reprimanded in the past a clean slate? Or do previous reprimands count against members who have had incidents in the past.
Thank you for addressing this matter.
