Hello everybody
I recently arrived in Canada and was surprised that 3D visualizing (by using 3D Max) is not so popular as in my background country(Russia). Could you answer please why it so? Is it so expensive? I am 3D visualizer (interior and exterior) and looking for a job.
Thank you for any answer.
Regards
Veronika

You could always freelance. Add your website info to your personal information here on the site. The powers that be tend to frown on advertising and self promotion on this site unless it pertains to House and Home.
I wiil try to make it(3D) more popular :)
Thanks All for the support.
- If anybody meet somebody(designer) who wants to try this service(or want to know more about it) Please contact me :)
And I have no Canadian Experience.
There is just one way - my own firm :)
But I also need English ;)
"Canadian experience" is a big problem for all immigrants, it's one of those things they don't mention to you, when they are collecting your over 3,000 dollars application fees.
A lot of my fellow brits are struggling with that right now, as discussed on major forums. Most occupations are regulated, which makes it hard for immigrants, I have been there myself.
Veronika.....welcome to the forum, and to Canada. This is not yet practicable in Canada, but am sure it won't be long. I came into contact with these in London, and I know some other European countries are well into it as well.
A friend of mine in Austria is into this big time, and she works for a big architectural firm in Salzburg
Thank you :) I do like your advice :) The next step is to find Colleges who are ready to talk to me :)
Veronica you can really draw  Maybe you can get in touch with Colleges and see if you can introduce this kind of design to them and perhaps teaching it. This might have sounded stupid, but I'm trying, I'm trying to help you out. :) :)
Have a look at another one. My husband likes it. :)
There is a bigger one in the Photo Gallery
My English is not so good :( HR does not like anybody like me...

You might want to take a look at using your 3D skills in the graphic design field. There are a lot of advertising/marketing types who need good 3D people. It might be another option for you to look into that end for work too especially if you know how to animate.
I'm wondering if theatre/stage/movie people need 3D renderings of their sets. Might be another place to look.
I have to draw Autocad drafts  to survive
You know - Buildings, constructions an so on
I do not like it :( But I have to..
I still hope to find 3D Artist job ... :)
welcome to Canada and to the forums. you seem very talented and i'm sure will find a job soon. think about contacting some of the local colleges. perhaps they can direct you to the correct employers.
good luck...in the meantime you can be very helpful here!:D
bbyrne...holy cow how many languages do you speak?! that's is so cool. i'm feeling very unilingual right now!
does anyone know any Finnish??....LOL
could've fooled me...LOL
Держите K. Это отлично, люди будут помнить Вас лучше.
but I bet you don't know Pig Latin? :D
Jen arrependido, só digo algumas línguas e isto não é um deles.
Although “Veronika” is not a Russian name I am definitely from Russia (Moscow).
I am still improving my English. Thank you.
I know about special software for planning rooms but it is a little different field. It is impossible to achieve “photo reality” by using another software (I saw the results ) but it takes less time to draw – hours instead of days . Nevertheless Thank you for the advice.
Áîëåå ïðàâèëüíî – Âåðîíèêà.
oh she's at it again...first the 3 letter acromyns now Russian...holy cow chickie...LOL...got anything i can say in Finnish..LOL
Привет Фероника, добро пожаловать в Канаду и форумы. Спасибо за образцы.
someone recommended software on here for DIY decorators to plan rooms for me awhile ago I am sorry I don't remember who it was. I think the BHG site was one of them. Maybe you should look at working for one of those companies - BHG stands for Better Homes and Gardens it is a magazine. Maybe you could help them develop products for "Dummies" (like me) I am amazed at how people on here can mock things up. Very talented bunch.
You write english very well. Are you Russian Veronika or did you go to school somewhere else?
to Cathie
software is - 3D studio Max + experience(3Y)
to Obella
Sorry I am afraid I do not understand your questions :)

how is it pictures that large are being posted?
Is there something I'm missing?

I am going to buy a new site – It will be in English :)
:) Thanks Thanks :)
Architects Hummm ....
I am not sure - because they need some calculations , AutoCAD drafts and so on.
Of course I worked with Architects but it is another field :)
I like greeting beautiful things (include furniture, curtain, carpets).
It usually takes 2-3 days to draw one interior.
