sells a similar product that gives your windows the appearance of frosted glass. It's about $8 from what I remember.
I found out in my new house that you have to be very careful about what you put on windows (or near windows for that matter...things like blinds can be an issue). What I was told was that it can void your warranty (which can be a big deal if you have a 10 or 20 yr warranty on the seals). It's best to always call whoever supplied your windows to find out what they recommend so the warranty stays intact.
In my new house I found out that my warranty would have been voided if I put up some blinds within something like an inch and a half of the glass or did anything to block the flow of air too much. It's not something they always tell you about up front.
I believe the sun blocking screens that mount outside are okay when it comes to window warranties.
My friend put it on her front door of her new condo. It looked great and lot less than rplacing the glass or having a pro come in and do it. Her husband who is not the lest bit handy did it in no time.
I got my 3E window covering done through the Home Depot - love it. They will give you a 1800 number to call but they do the work
does the spray frosted glass product have the same effect? I just used it on one of my windows and I'm thinking of using it on at least 3 others they all face south so they get a lot of sun.

[B]Just a note regarding using film on windows to reduce solar heat, etc. Film placed on the interior pane of thermal sealed units in not recommended. There is a tremendous load (heat) reflected by the product which significantly increases the temperature between the panes. The heat can damage the seal and thus ruin the unit. The products are marketed for the above reason...but you are usually not told about the seal problem.

YOu can buy these Frosted film from Home Depot or even Micheal's Arts and Craft store...

I have found a product called wallpaper for windows that sounds similar to the 3M film...it is available at Benjamin Moore. They also have a website and although I don't have the address it is easy to find through Google. Hope that helps.
Try calling the people I've suggested...maybe they ship. If not, try the 3M website.
I'm also interested in that film....do you know of any stores on the internet that I can order it from?
