I felt all those same feelings that you did, last year when we first moved in. The great thing about paint is that you can paint over it if you change your mind later. I painted like a madwoman and I have a few rooms I'll be repainting, but that's the fun of having a new home, I think. :)

Congratulations on your new condo!

Can't wait!!!! My advice not to paint the bathroom green, I was just thinking that for years I had my bedroom green:rolleyes: maybe I should have taken my own advice as I also use the bedroom for those finishing touches. Wonder if it had any effect on DH:D

I didn't read the green bathroom warning until now but I don't get ready in the bathroom I always get ready in my bedroom. Whew . . .

We started painting, Friday afternoon and it mostly ended late yesterday afternoon. I'm pleased with how it's coming. I'll post pictures tonight, as they are on my home computer.

I'm afraid that I agree with DBD, while the bathroom may look great, it doesn't do a thing for anyone in it.

Gee you sound hardly excited at all:rolleyes:...you know you are ready to go when you are all packed up with time to spare.

Meanwhile I just wanted to see if you have thought out that green in the bathroom. If you are going to be putting on make up in there, rethink it please. I lived with the green bathroom in this house way too long (and it was a nice green) and am here to tell you that since it's been gone, I have been looking a lot healthier. That green always cast colour on anything reflected in the mirror so it didn't matter what I did, I always looked sickly and that puts a damper on the self-image day after day.

bedroom will be a chocolate brown color (again too late in the night for me to remember the name) and the one long wall beside his bed will be wallpapered in grasscloth. Black furniture, white trim, brown and tan bedding. I can't wait until it's all together!

Heres the bathroom as it is now. Walls will be a mossy green (the name escapes me now) I'm removing the towel bar and there will be a large bonsi (sp?) tree wall sticky there. The over the toilet cupboard thing will be removed and I have a chandelier wall hanging for there, new light, silver round mirror, cabinet will be black and I'm gonna try my hand at painting the counter top a silvery color with a suede texture, new hardware on the cabinet doors, new faucet and the trim will be painted white. Eventually, I'll do new counter top and flooring in here.
