is it always dry-clean only?

I thought you could machine wash it? Or does it depend?

I am in love with a chenille throw I can't afford--and can't wash at home, or so the tag says. If that's strictly true, then I'll move on....

can be nasty to wash. The weave or knit will shift and long loopy threads andholes will emerge. I had a gorgeous chenille sweater that look like moths had attacked it. It was the knit shifting around making ugly holesand then there were those loopy things - ugh!.
