The after is almost completed as I havea few more plants to add on the weekend. The roses are hardy Explorer and can lay over the fence. The cedars are Emerald variety.
Next week I will spread the mulch.

The gardens are coming along nicely Pearl! They will be gorgeous next year :) You have done an awesome job. :applaud:

I dont know where you live but where I am living it is so hot and sticky, I will appreciate your nice pool.
We have a spa but it is not the same, I like to stay on a pool all the afternoon.
It is very nice!
Well take heart as it will all come back and for sure the plants will be setting roots for next year. meanwhile I am so jealous of that pool. It must be really nice to have one like you have in the back yard and see the big changes you have this year in the yard as a whole.
The torrents of rain and winds over the last few days have knocked the plants down UGH! The poor Explorer roses are battling to keep their blooms, so look sparce right now. The Lady's Mantle is also flattened. I added Shasta Daisies and day lillies in various shades of pink & burgandy. ( not in bloom yet) Also added red bee balm and purple cone flowers.( not in bloom either) I want to plant variagated green/white hostas along the cement edge so the large leaves hang over onto the cement to soften it some.
It is coming along and of course will look better next year when the plants fill in more. :)
looks great ..I am so jealous of your pool  :biglol:
