Florals are actually making a come back. It won't be what we saw in the past but more updated colourations etc.
I am not a fan of floral drapery either but other than that it can work in accessories.
Don't like them and never have I don't know if it was to much of my Mom having so much but I can't stand them. I like plain or graphic pattern but nothing that looks like a plant or flower.
I like florals as long as they are as you both have stated. I do not think I would buy floral drapes though. Throw pillows and bedding yes and of course very nice silk florals. I actually have 2 floral pillows on my sofa now, charcoal background and small burgandy/pinky flowers/green leaves. The sofa is neurtral beigey so it add some colour. All of 5.99 sale each at Superstore. :)
I also like good silk florals and have some hydrangeas that match the cushion colours right now. But I love fresh flowers, who doesn't. :)
fabric that i always wanted to use....is french toile, even just a hit of it...love the black and cream :)

no im not a fan of big icky gawdy florals, ( like my old comforter) just soft almost muted ones :) they must be soft and prettty

I am not a fan of floral prints on fabric. I suppose it really depends on the size of the print and how busy it is. I don't mind small florals, like say a semi sheer curtain with small embroidered flowers- but not big bold things. I much prefer botanical prints -life like leaves etc. All in all though if I'm going to see flowers, I'd rather they were real- except for the floral water colour my mom painted me for my birthday this year- I love it!
